Laura May Hooe focuses her practice on defending national and regional clients in high-risk products liability and toxic tort litigation. She represents manufacturers of automotive, consumer, agricultural, and industrial products in both state and federal court.  She also defends healthcare providers against claims of negligent care and wrongful death.  Laura actively participates in all phases of litigation from the inception of a case through resolution, including motions practice, taking and defending depositions, expert discovery, trial preparation and appeals.

Laura is chair of the Product Liability and Toxic Torts section of the Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys. She serves as the chair of the Summer Associate Program at Moran Reeves Conn. Before joining MRC,  she was a litigation associate with the Pittsburgh-based firm of Eckert Seamans. While there, she gained considerable experience as part of the national coordinating counsel team for a highway products manufacturer involved in products liability and state qui tam lawsuits across the country.  She also served as an extern for the Honorable David J. Novak, Magistrate Judge for the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and clerked for the Honorable Steven C. McCallum in the Chesterfield County Circuit Court of Virginia.
