Litigation Attorney (Toxic Tort)

MRC is searching for an attorney to join its toxic tort litigation team, which serves as national coordinating, national discovery counsel and as local counsel for companies involved in asbestos and silicosis litigation.  Job responsibilities include the oversight of discovery directed to our firm’s clients (including the preparation of discovery responses and management of document productions), assisting in the preparation and defense of company fact and expert witnesses, and the management of local counsel across the country.

The successful candidate must be a team player with strong organizational, leadership and management qualities, exceptional writing abilities and a high level of attention to detail.  A minimum of three years’ litigation experience is required, preferably in toxic tort or other pattern products liability litigation.

Real Estate/Securities Attorney

We currently seek a transactional attorney to join our Real Estate and Securities practice.  The successful candidate must be a team player with at least two years of experience in securities, real estate, and/or corporate law, along with exceptional organizational, writing, and analytical skills. This position requires an attorney who is licensed in Virginia.

Real Estate Paralegal

We currently seek an experienced paralegal to join our Real Estate and Securities team who can provide a variety of paralegal support functions including:

  • Draft transactional documents for attorney review/approval
  • Review title and survey documents and prepare objections
  • Prepare and submit government filings
  • Communicate with counsel of parties involved in transactional matters (sellers, buyers, lenders, investors, etc.)
  • Review third party reports (property condition, zoning, etc.) and prepare written summaries for attorney review.
  • Conduct various types of research

The successful candidate must be a team player, detail-oriented, and have excellent organizational and communication skills. A four-year college degree and at least three years of paralegal experience supporting real estate, securities, or other business transaction practice is required.
