Litigation Associate
We seek a talented litigation attorney to work with our medical malpractice team who can passionately and capably represent our clients and effectively collaborate with other team members. This role involves and requires experience conducting depositions, having direct contact with clients, and representing them at hearings and trials.

The successful candidate will have at least two years’ litigation experience as described above, involving medical malpractice, toxic tort, workers’ compensation, personal injury, or wrongful death matters. This role also requires one to be a team player and possess exceptional communications (oral and written), organizational, and analytical skills.

Junior Legal Assistant
The ideal candidate for this position is enthusiastic and motivated to help serve clients and support our litigation practice. Responsibilities include preparing and editing legal documents and correspondence; maintaining electronic files; calendaring; making travel arrangements; meeting/conference scheduling and other special projects.

A strong candidate will have good time management and organizational skills; be a self-starter who can work both independently and as part of a team; have strong attention to detail and superior proofreading skills. Must be proficient in the MS Office Suite.

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of one year of law firm experience in an administrative/legal secretary capacity, OR one year of administrative assistant experience outside of the legal field.

Receptionist/Office Assistant
We are  looking for an energetic people-person with strong communication skills to join our collegial environment. The successful candidate must be highly organized and resourceful. At least 1-2 years’ experience in an office setting is preferred.

This full-time role will serve the following needs:

  • Greeting all visitors and maintaining scheduling for firm conference rooms
  • Assisting with coordination and set-up of meetings and firm events
  • Managing mail, FedEx and UPS packages, courier deliveries
  • Answering incoming phone calls
  • Tracking and replenishing office and kitchen supplies
  • Serving as liaison with vendors for maintenance requests, equipment issues
  • Assisting with overflow projects including but not limited to profiling in DMS, preparation of letters and documents, formatting and researching

All applicants must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Law firm experience is a plus. The schedule is M-F, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm.

Technology Support Administrator
We are seeking a dependable problem-solver to work with the firm’s attorneys, paralegals, and administrative team to ensure technology and service needs are met. The ability to provide superior customer service is essential for success in our collegial environment.

The administrator will serve as the primary firm liaison to technology business partners and vendors, and will be responsible for providing technical and informational assistance related to applications, hardware, and network-related issues.

Candidates should have a working knowledge of Office 365, Citrix, and/or Active Directory. Experience with other applications specific to the legal industry is a plus. As part of our team, the successful candidate must be able to convey ideas effectively in writing using clear, concise language. Also essential will be the ability to manage competing priorities and efficiently managing time. As an independent member of our team, the administrator must also adapt quickly to changing business needs, conditions, and work responsibilities, while demonstrating sound judgment and understanding when input from others is needed.

The nature of this position requires full-time, in-person work at the firm’s offices in Shockoe Slip.
