MRC is Supporting Sponsor of Inspiring International Film

Moran Reeves Conn was a supporting sponsor of the Richmond International Film Festival (RIFF) and Scattering CJ, shown virtually and at the historic Byrd Theater this past weekend. Before the film, MRC paralegal Tracy Griffin spoke about her own personal experience with the loss of family and friends to suicide.

Scattering CJ confronts persistent stigmas surrounding mental illnesses, and documents the suicide of 20-year-old happy, travel-infatuated CJ Twomey, the resulting social media rally, and the scattering of his ashes around the world by 1000 volunteers. The film won the Audience Award at the 2020 Dunedin International Film Festival and the Pioneer Award by the RIFF, awarded annually to a film, celebrity, filmmaker, or community leader who utilize film for impactful change in communities in the U.S. and abroad.
