MRC Legal Team Prevails in Wrongful Death/Malpractice Defense
In March, Kathleen (Kate) McCauley and Samuel (Sam) Bernier successfully defended a $2 million wrongful death claim filed against a medical oncologist. A Henrico County, Virginia jury rendered a defense verdict in this complex case involving multiple medical experts. In short, the defense was able to demonstrate that the standard of care did not require testing for genetic defects prior to the administration of chemotherapy.
